Clean Holds
Handle full crates instead of single holds
Less than 2 minutes work
When holds are stripped from a climbing wall, route setters organize the holds by color and size in plastic crates. Full crates are then moved to the cleaning area for washing.
With the ClimbLab system, the holds stay in crates from stripping to setting and the machine does all the cleaning for you - to perfection! You only need to load and unload the crates in the machine and occasionally organize the holds.
When the holds have been rinsed and dried, the crates are moved to your storage area or used directly for your route-setting session.
The average amount of labor required per washing cycle is less than two minutes.
The machine can hold between 1 to 5 crates depending on the height. The machine can wash up to 500 small footholds, 150 mini-jugs, 50 medium holds, or several fiberglass macros in one washing cycle.
One washing cycle is between 2-10 minutes depending on load and type of holds.
Create value
With a ClimbLab solution, you no longer need a dedicated person to wash your holds.
You no longer have to put on a head-to-toe safety suit and spend a full day in a hazardous and horrible working environment. The climbLab solution is as convenient and user-friendly as a dishwasher and anyone can use it. There is no splashing of water so all you need is a pair of gloves.
You can clean more than 2000 normal-sized holds per week by spending just 2 minutes 5 times per day. Or you can clean 3000 holds in one day by running continuously.
In most cases, gym staff such as front desk or cafe personnel can manage the washing during hours of low activity.
In gyms where the route setter is responsible for washing holds you can free up more time to set significantly more routes or set routes of higher quality.
Ultimately, the core value in your climbing gym is the quality of the routes and the frequency of route setting. ClimbLab helps you to create more value where it counts, using fewer resources.
Prolong your holds life
In many climbing gyms, the people who wash the holds don´t have the time or the system to handle the holds carefully.
With pressure washing the holds are handled one by one during the cleaning process and they are often poured from crates onto the ground and thrown back into the crates.
The consequence is that holds are scratched and chipped and look worn out after a short while. Often due to the handling itself and not the actual climbing. This can be avoided with our system.
With the ClimbLab solution, the holds are placed in crates by route setters and not touched again before they are picked up for the next route setting. Only route setters place their hands on the holds. Fewer handling steps save time and limit wear and tear on the holds.
The ultrasonic cleaning process is gentle and extremely efficient and will clean all surfaces and cavities to perfection.
With the ClimbLab solution, your holds will look new every time you set. And you will save money and help the environment by making your holds last longer.
ClimbLab ultrasonic
The ClimbLab ultrasonic cleaner has been tailored for the cleaning of climbing holds. It has twice the amount of power compared to the conventional ultrasonic cleaners available on the market.
To ensure thorough cleaning, we have chosen the best possible frequency for coarse cleaning. On top of this, our ultrasonic cleaner features a "sweep system" which ensures even cleaning.
As the ultrasonic cleaner is equipped with so much power, a special cooling system has been developed. This is needed to ensure temperature control when cleaning.
To ensure good handling, we have designed the ultrasonic cleaner with a very narrow front. This allows for correct ergonomic handling of the crates.
To provide a splash-free system, the cleaner has been fitted with a crate drain position and a top drainboard. All modules are connected with stainless steel drip prevention plates.
ClimbLab booth
The ClimbLab pressure washing booth allows you to pressure wash holds, fiberglass macros, and large wooden volumes inside your gym, without having to invest in a wet room.
An innovative patented ventilation system absorbs all aerosols, prevents backsplash onto the operator, and accelerates the drying of the cleaned volumes.
The booth has an integrated professional pressure washer with a highly flexible hose and a compact one-hand-operated spray gun to ensure easy and ergonomic cleaning from all angles.
The booth can be combined with the ultrasonic cleaner for the ultimate setup or it can be used with our pre-soaking sink and multifunctional soap. The booth works perfectly for a quick rinse of crates with holds that have been in the ultrasonic cleaner or for a more extensive cleaning of holds that have been pre-soaked.
As the operator doesn’t have to put on any waterproof clothing, route setters can use it to clean a volume and have it back on the wall within 10 minutes. Even personnel from the café can wash volumes in between other tasks.
UltraGrip cleaning soap
ClimbLabs UltraGrip cleaning soap has been custom-made for ultrasound cleaning of climbing holds and soaking. The soap is highly biodegradable, harmless to handle when diluted, and can be let directly to your drain once used.
With our soap there are no toxic fumes as known from using the regular acidic detergent for climbing holds. You improve the work environment tremendously.
For the ultrasonic cleaner, you only use 6 liters of soap each time you change the water in the ultrasonic cleaning tank as it's diluted to 4% (1:25).
For soaking dilute it to 5% (1:2). Soak for 10 minutes and pressure wash to get a perfect result.
You will be able to clean more than 80 crates with average-sized holds before you need to renew it.
The soap comes in 6-liter canisters to ensure easy and safe handling. No dosing, just empty the canister. We also offer an economical size 30-liter canister.
Crates and storage
Euro Crates have already been widely accepted as climbing holds storage solutions. They are modular and stackable, and the sizes are suitable for comfortable lifting and handling. We have designed the ultrasonic cleaning machine for a perfect fit with Euro crates.
ClimbLab plastic crates have been carefully chosen to be compatible with our ultrasonic cleaning soap and the required temperatures. The material and the perforated design are crucial for the efficient cleaning of your holds.
Our general advice is to have only one layer of holds and fit the crate height accordingly. This will protect the holds and give a better visual presentation of your holds in storage. Route setters can quickly obtain an overview of holds and pick out the ones that inspire them. Adjusting the height accordingly will result in easy handling with no more than 10-12 kg in each crate.
The system is also compatible with the US crate format 23,75" x 15,75". E.g. the open grit storage straight wall containers from Akro Mils or U line.
Better for you and the environment.
Our cleaning process does not generate any harmful fumes unlike using conventional cleaning agents and/or pressure washing. No extra ventilation is needed!
With pressure washing you use an average of 30 seconds per hold. That corresponds to using 5 litres of drinking water to clean each climbing hold or 5000 litres per week for 1000 holds.
With the ClimbLab solution, you only use 140 litres in the ultrasonic bath and 110 litres in the rinse bath. A total of 250 litres that will clean an average of 2500 mid-sized holds.
The ClimbLab solution uses 0,1 litres of water for cleaning one mid-sized climbing hold or 50 times less than a conventional pressure washing.
The ClimbLab UltraGrip soap is highly biodegradable and can be let directly into your drain.
